A hydrophobic coating is a flat, thin surface layer that completely repels water. It's typically made from ultra-fine, ultra-soft, ultra-violet, and extremely hydrating substances. Attached to the surface of a material, it will create a substance called a hydrophobic coating. When water comes in contact with this surface, the droplets stay hydrated until they are either repelled or the water vaporizes.
